NTEU is widely known as a smart, tough organization, well-respected for its knowledge of federal employee issues. And for its determination to work with federal agencies, with Congress, and in the courts to protect, promote and expand the rights of those it represents. For 69 years, NTEU has been driven by the principle that every federal employee should be treated with dignity and respect. In that time, NTEU has grown to represent some 150,000 bargaining unit employees in 31 federal agencies and departments. NTEU members are represented by an experienced and professional staff in Washington, D.C., seven field offices across the nation and highly trained, dedicated local leaders in their workplaces.

The NTEU Chapter 98 Election Committee is glad to announce the official election results.  The elections were held September 16, 2010.  Thanks to each member who came out and voted and showed their support for the Union, and thanks to each candidate for a smooth election.  Special thanks to each Election Committee members for all their hard work and dedication.

Chapter 098’s elections were held Thursday, September 16, 2010.  The Unofficial Winning Results are as follows:

President:  James Hull

Exectutive Vice President:  James Lloyd Jr.

1st Vice President:  Gibson Jones

2nd Vice President:  Ronald Wong

Treasurer:  Donald Goodman

Secretary:  Jeraldine Whitaker

The Election Committee will be posting the Official Results next week.

We hope that everyone will continue to support their Officers, and I wish them luck in the new term.

NTEU Chapter 98, along with our benefit coordinators, will be hosting a Winter Scholarship Extravaganza.  It will be semi-formal attire.  We will have live entertainment, a DJ, and refreshments.  The remaining scholarships for 2009 will be awarded.  Members will get in free and for any Non-members, there will be a $10.00 coverage charge.  All proceeds from the extravaganza will go to our scholarship fund.
